About Kami Miles

Kami Miles hails from the small rural town of Columbus, WI. She is a creatively curious individual with a variety of professional experience ranging from forensic scientist, military officer, author, local artist, and fur momma. Most importantly, Kami is the loving girlfriend to a wonderful man who recently sustained a severe, traumatic brain injury. Witnessing his incredible recovery through the use of art, pattern recognition, and several other techniques and therapies initially inspired this blog.

Kami currently serves in the US Army as a Public Affairs Officer and is attending Full Sail University as an online graduate student to receive her masters in New Media Journalism. This site also serves as her online portfolio.

The focus of our website is the human brain. Primarily brain conditions and dysfunctions (like TBI’s, PTSD, and dyslexia), how the brain works, and the variety of evolving therapies utilized today. The human brain is rarely understood by the general public and is still one of the most misunderstood organs in the scientific community. Our goal with this site is to not only simplify these complex topics, but to highlight the incredible people who live with these conditions and show life through their eyes.

We hope this blog inspires you to be uniquely you,  stay resilient, and hone your inner curiosity.
